It never fails to amaze me how our country can NOT get states to cooperate on a major public necessity like transportation. IF we had a EU type transport, our personal need for gas and oil would diminish. Local service jobs could be created or start-ups for small business and perhaps, a potential increase for rail jobs. Short-sighted and greedy, US states or their congressreps have yet to cooperate with a master plan. Yet decades ago, EU countries not only invested in infrastructure across their continent but now enjoy high speed rail. Still Another Example that "United Corporate States of America" is NOT interested in your needs.
