I don't have the time to do extensive research on this subject. However, I still contend that increases in income really only matter if you also know about expenses. For example, From 1992-2000 (Democrat president) From 2001-2008 (Republican president) Yes, that's simplistic, and more data would be needed. But the whole point is, how much your income increases is meaningful only when you have the whole picture. Also: From 1973-2008 In that area, at least, it doesn't sound like we are better off under either Democrats or Republicans.
