...whatever means to keep people under a thumb. Happens in non-Muslim tyrannies too. Christianity experienced a similar problem in the middle ages. Islam is going through a similar phase. Reading the Qur'an and understanding the various religious interpretations is pretty important: seek out the muslim scholars that preach a peaceful Islam and find out why the radicals are so radical. :-)
