Sally, I remembered that moderate Muslims had spoken out in the past so I went to Google and typed in
muslims speak against 9/11
and got many hits. I am linking to four of them here but if you want to do the search too you will see many more. I chose these four because it shows:

Muslims speaking out against the 9/11 attacks. (I also always remember that every one of the 9/11 hijackers were from Saudi Arabia and that is sometimes lost.)

Muslims speaking against the mosque two blocks from ground zero.

9/11 victim's families speaking both for and against the mosque. Personally, I would consider these folks first and foremost.
