You see, if they wanted to add junk amendments per their normal status quo -- such as huge tax cuts for the top 1% -- then they should not have been able to muddy this bill. Again, it was simple: if you want to help them, vote yes, if you don't, vote no. They could add their gazillion amendments elsewhere, as they usually do. And, then filibuster it. And, then vote against it. This was was too important for their games -- well, most of them are. Try to find a precedent for any other congress having so many filibusters during one term. Not "some" but this many. M.
