Suggestion: Best to keep as much privacy as possible and leave your email off this board. We have had past incidents with unstable individuals who take advantage and lob insults to people personally. It's just a suggestion.

That said, thanks for the info. I will look at the book.

Government was originally set up to serve the people not the corporations or the wealthy 2% of the population. I can post more on that concept. Since our government has evolved, democracy is now waning and an plutocracy has bought the representative we thought would serve the people. Oh well.

Empathy is hard-earned and poverty has become a new concept to some people who are just learning what it is like to lose their income, homes, financial security, health care, family members (suicides) and their dignity aka working and living out of a car. Historically, when a depression/recession occurs, tragedy is a painful reminder that we are ALL subject to lose what little we possess. Maybe, the idea of charity will spread a little further since more people have experienced losing their own sense of wellbeing.

Something positive is Bill Gates and Warren Buffet have gone out on a limb to start campaigning other wealthy individuals to give. I noticed that they did not have to ask the philanthropist, Kennedy family, who have silently been giving all along. I hope most of it goes to education and healthcare, personally. The article is linked.

A small group of thoughtful people could change the world. Indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.
    Margaret Mead
