... now they are often members of 'the elite', and that separation is part of what has gone wrong with our healthcare system, I think. They are kept too busy, work too long, see too many patients and have too much expected of them. We forget, as do they, that they are just human. They have training, but that doesn't erase their need for time to breathe, or an ability to get through a day without being held responsible for somebody's very life. We have too few doctors, too many special-ists and way too little patience for patients. The system is ill.
