I've made the first milestone.... the first needed classes checked off on my path to my second career.

Intro to psychology and intro to sociology are done! Yeah! That is six credits off the list. I took the CLEP tests for each of them yesterday. Psych hasn't changed much since high school 20ish years ago, but soc has changed a lot in the last decade or two. (Think you know what a majority is? hint, it has nothing to do with numbers or proportions).

Otherwise, my job is going well. It is a few more hours than I would like, but that can't be helped for a least a few months. And classes (chemistry and algebra) require a lot of effort, but so far so good.

I should probably not have signed up for the CERT training (Community Emergency Response Team) this spring. I think most people should do it, it is valuable, but it is a big chunk of time considering how much else is going on in my life right now.

The kids are doing well. My 19yo is graduating with an associates degree this spring, she has another two years to go to get her bacchlors degree in teaching (high school and jr high level...English and Spanish and ESL).

My 18yo (high school senior, this year) got several drama and voice scholarships for next year. He is aiming for a bacchlors in physics.

I'm going with the 16yo to Atlanta next week, for the robotics national championships. His team earned a place at the regionals. Very exciting.

My 14yo has blossomed over the last few years. He has (largely) overcome his organization (ADD? probably. ok. yes, just not officially diagnosed) problems and is keeping track and finishing all of his school work on his own (and on time).

My 12yo has discovered poetry.
