When we can start working as a whole on the issues that surround that one, and quit using the term as a bludgeon, then we might actually make some progress toward greatly reducing the occurrence of the banned topic. But trying to do away with it by legislation is not only not going to be effective, it will add even more stress, danger, and desperation to the problem for those who face the situation of an untimely, or unwanted pregnancy. We HAVE to compromise and work together or it is destined to just continue to be a political wedge issue instead of a problem we actually do something about. Millie is quite correct - the promises you received about what would be done were not even attempted to be fulfilled, and largely because legislation is NOT the answer. Education, resources, alternatives, prevention and support are.
