It does us no good to shout, even when correct, that someone is lying, when we don't provide proof that they are mistaken.

Of course, it should do no good for anyone to shout untruths and not support them. I do fully understand that that is indeed a tactic of political campaigns... both sides... heck, all sides.

But we don't have to fall into the rut of it.
