I gave my basic opinion and pointed to one part of the problem - which is definitely one part of the problem without doubt - without going into links and data. I thought that's what you guys wanted!? And, I stand by my basic opinion and that one man -or one party - or PNAC is definitely a big part of the issue. That said, I agree with the rest of your post. We are about to go on fasting holidays and get closer to the land. Even the cheapest is ridiculously high. Never has there been so much so wrong in an economy - at least in the lifetimes of everyone I'm questioning, including those who remember the depression. If you want to link to cavemen who fought dinosaurs, I will admit my error! LOL Our grandchildren will be dealing with the problems of today and for that I'm very disappointed in our generation. I will be canning and freezing this year as I used to do years ago - not a bad thing, and probably much healthier, I'm sure. But, when gas is $4/gal and milk is $5/gal while incomes have remained stagnant for 10 years, things are askew. I am making -however- lots of cakes that call for sour milk because we don't drink a gal a week. I've purchased powdered to cook with and have started purchasing less but still we have too much cake because the milk went bad! LOL M.
