for as long as I can remember. The classical radio station was on at all time in my home growing up. I'm 40 and I'd say my conscious memory of NPR goes back at least 30-35 years. The theme music to All Things Considered still evokes a Pavolovian response in me as my dad usually got home from work about that time and we ate dinner then.
