amazing... telling people (in this case, the Dixie Chicks) that because they used their guaranteed free speech (and their brains) they shouldn't live here, have opinions of their own, or speak out when they see something wrong... all things that the condemners seemed to feel free to do.

Ugliness ... pure ... evil ... hate-filled ugliness aimed entirely at the wrong people. Turns out that the Chicks were right (as were a number of us, as I recall). Ironic, isn't it, that those who acted so incredibly ugly over it all aren't called to task about it. Hypocrisy.
