hold way more than any paper or plastic bag, so you could almost certainly fit the other items in anyway. Unless the items were too big...in which case bagging them doesn't make them easier to carry anyway. Or the items are so heavy you can't lift the bag, but if you are buying that many cans or bottles it is a lot easier (and less likely to dent the metal cans) to take them in the boxes they come to the store in than to bag even if you had enough bags with you or used paper or plastic. It is also easier to manage them in the food storage area when you get them home if they are in the boxes.
