instead of addressing issues that Pres Carter brings up, they just smear him. That's because he has shown such leadership and common sense that they cannot deal with it. His views on the whole Israel/Palestinian issue is astounding and they blow him off without acknowledging the truth in what he says.

They cannot deal with truth or common sense. Smear Smear Smear - that's all they know.

This voting thing may be way too far gone to fix. Diebold (of which the Bush family owns a piece of the software) has such a tight hold on its merchandise that even those who should be able to inspect it can't.

It was awfully odd the way the numbers fell in '04 (and in '00 too if I remember correctly). Exit polls showed Kerry with 51% and Bush with 48% but the final numbers flip-flopped. Every error found was in Bush's favor. It would be a very easy thing to put into a software program.

I'm wondering if we shouldn't ask for paper - what do you think?
