I used to have a friend who had a personality that closely resembles the kind of mentality that scares me the most in my area, and seems reflected widely in the general populace - if you ever told her that you didn't like something, or to please not do some specific thing... guess what you got... a double dose of whatever it was.

I literally know people who will vote for McCain just because liberals won't like him. It's got nothing to do with anything they really like about him, or honestly don't like about the other candidate's stand on any particular issue - it's about making someone mad. That's darned scary! I really don't see this in the other direction nearly as much as I see in the Rep side.
