We are Christians but I have to agree whole heartedly with you!! We have homeschooled for 8 years, our son started his freshmen year at the local high school and our next two will go to the elementary school next year. Our son has been in public school now for 3 weeks. Guess what?? He is still the same kid he was before!!! Public school hasn't turned him into a drug addict, sex fiend, gang member, or taken his faith away from him. It is the attitude of some of the above homeschoolers that cause people to flee from Christianity and it causes non-homeschoolers to think that homeschoolers are weird.

It has been our experience that it doesn't really matter what avenue of education you choose, if your faith/values/beliefs (no matter what they are) are important to you then it is your duty to pass them on to your children. If you do that to the best of your ability and are a proactive parent, your child is going to thrive in all areas of life. They may make some bad choices but you know, so goes life and some of us choose to learn the hard way!
