Back last Fall when my 8 y/o son with special needs had to go to the children's hospital for and go under general anesthia for some dental work he got a 'happy cocktail' before heading back into the o.r. They let me suit up and walk back beside the gurney all the way into the o.r. About half way down the hall way, he started hallucinating. The doctor's were well aware that we homeschooled and laughed at Noah's hallucinations while the other o.r. staff were wondering what was going on. Apparently he was the first 8 y/o child that they ever have to see Abraham Lincoln and Gen. Robert E. Lee during hallucinations.
