Erie Area Day Apart and Curriculum Fair
Saturday, March 13, 2010
8:00 AM to 3:00 PM

The Day Apart and Curriculum Fair will be held on Saturday, March 13, at Grace Church, 7300 Grubb Road, in McKean, Pennsylvania. Registration begins at 8:00 AM and the event will close at 3:00 PM.

Following the keynote address, sessions will be running throughout the day with seminar topics such as these: PA Homeschool Law, Logs and Portfolios, Home Education as a Lifestyle, Family Discipleship, Vision Therapy and the Struggling Learner, High School and Beyond, Financial Freedom, a session on each of the Home Education Designs, and much more.

The Grace Church Café will be open throughout the day for snacks and beverages.

Directions: From I-79, take Exit 174 towards McKean. Turn right onto West Road, then left onto Main Street (PA-99), then left onto Grubb Road. From I-90, take Exit 18 toward Presque Isle/Sterrettania. Turn left onto PA 832. Turn right onto Grubb Road.

In addition to the Breakout Sessions, a New Vendor Hall will be open from 8 AM to 3 PM. Vendors attending the Day Apart and Curriculum Fair include: A Beka Books, BJU Press, Christian Homeschool Association of PA (CHAP), Accelerated Christian Education, Abundant Books, Erie County Homeschool Diploma Association, Presque Isle State Park, The Tom Ridge Environmental Center, Parco Scientific, PA Homeschoolers, Seek First Ministries, Usborne Books, Geneva College, Erie County Homeschool News, and more.

Attendees have the option of selling their used books and curriculum through our large used book room. For a 10% fee, we will sell your books and homeschooling-related items for you, giving you the opportunity to attend sessions and shop. For those who cannot attend but want to sell their curriculum, there will be a 20% fee. All books must be labeled and dropped off on Friday, March 12, between 3 and 6 PM. In order to sell books in our used book area, you must pre-register with Ellen Fichera via email at At that time, you will receive complete details on how to mark your books for this sale. SPECIAL NOTE: The Used Book sale area will be cash and carry only, and will be open between 9:30 and 11:30 AM.

Costs: Pre-registration received by March 1 will be $10.00/person or $16.00/couple. The cost at the door will be $12.00/person or $20.00/couple. Please use the registration form below.
