Subject:         Northern Virginia Home Education Conference - July 13-14, 2007
Date: March 22, 2007 at 11:32 am PST

Information and registration for the fourth annual Northern Virginia Home Education Conference is now available online. This conference will be held on July 13-14, 2007 at the Dulles Expo & Conference Center in Chantilly, Virginia. We are busy working on an exciting lineup of exhibitors, speakers and workshops for the 2007 conference. So put these dates on your calendar and be sure to tell all your homeschooling friends about the conference.

The Keynote Speaker will be Jessica Hulcy of KONOS. Jessica is the co-author of the KONOS Character Curriculum, the first homeschool curriculum written - in 1984 - for homeschoolers by home schoolers . She will delight you with her sense of humor and refreshing openness about her home school experiences. We are also very pleased to have Susan Wise Bauer and Maggie Hogan as our Featured Speakers for this conference. Susan has published numerous books, including The Well-Educated Mind, The Well-Trained Mind, and the Story of the World series. Publisher's Weekly described The Well-Educated Mind as "a brilliant guide" and "a timeless, intelligent book." Maggie Hogan is a regular contributor to homeschooling internet sites as well as print magazines like Homeschooling Today and The Old Schoolhouse. She’s a nationally-known speaker and co-author of The Ultimate Geography and Timeline Guide, Gifted Children at Home, Hands-on Geography and other resource books. You can find more information on all the conference speakers and workshops that they will be providing on the conference website.

This conference's many features will give you a thoroughly rewarding experience. We offer a vast cross-section of exhibitors who are ready and able to provide you with the tools you need to meet the educational needs of all of your students. Additionally, we offer a Mommy & Me Room just for you and your little one with a video feed to one of our workshop rooms, a Demonstration Area with demonstrations from area athletic and performing arts companies, a Used Book Sale on Saturday, fantastic Door Prizes from many of our exhibitors, local radio stations and local businesses AND a full-service Food Court open throughout the conference - all of this at a the conveniently located Dulles Expo Center and at a great price.
