I have graduated one and have one in high school. My
youngest was very ahead in many areas as well. What
I did with her was a very relaxed (meaning "School"
type stuff when she wanted and everyday learning
when she didn't) She ended up being WAY ahead by the
end of 1st grade, so from one who is been there
RELAX! I bought a used copy of Saxon Kindergarten
Math and just looked over the skill for each lesson
and made sure she knew each thing. I did NOT use the
scripted lesson. I began this at age 4, so your
daughter most likely already possesses some of the
skills. Then we moved into Singapore Math US edition
Ealry Bird Kindergarten workbooks. I also picked up
a cheap workbook of beginner skills from Kmart and
used it at quiet times. One thing I really recommend
is Explode the Code primers for phonics. They are
GREAT! If you wanted a curriculum that would be
relaxed, yet hold your hand and cover everything I
really suggest Heart of Dakota products. Other than
that, just supply many different hands on learning
activities for her to use when she wishes. (puzzles,
magnets, science experiments, play-dough, crafts,
all kinds of reading materials, audio cds, pc games,
gears, blocks, art supplies, math manipulatives,
etc) Library visits and field trips are great, too!
Enjoy as much together as possible. One day she will
be a teen and probably just want to take a textbook
to her room and get done with "School."
