Subject:	Trouble with GED and "Umbrella" School - anyone???

My son was homeschooled kindergarten thru high school. We were under an "umbrella" school (Gateway). During his last year I had him take the GED test in February before he would have graduated from Gateway in May. When I turned in his final grades I also told them he had taken the GED and passed it. I was pleased he had done this and thought they would be to.

I was informed he would not receive a diploma from them since he had taken the GED and he was declined from their school. I was devastated. Had I not told them they would not have even known.

I know he has the GED diploma but I feel they should send his diploma from their school that he worked so hard for and earned. We did everything they asked: took all the required subjects; finished all his work; kept good records; sent everything in on time; had more than enough credits, etc. but still they would not give him his diploma.

Was wondering if anyone has had any similiar problems. I would like any suggestions or any information on who I need to write, contact, or whatever that may be able to help us.
