I have a 14 yr old boy who is learning Latin ( again) this year. He is not terribly thrilled with it because he says it's a dead language. I want him to learn it so that he can pick apart words he doesn't know. Anyway, I told him if he learned this I would let him pick another romance language to learn. He has picked French. In one of our classes with other homeschoolers there are three girls who are learning it. He wants to be able to converse with them in it. I think they are learning it via community college and he isn't old enough for it yet. Does anyone have any suggestions on a curriculum that doesn't cost an arm and a leg? Thanks for any information anyone can give.
