Try Teaching Textbook, my son hated math and last year we started using Teaching Textbook (we did 7th grade) and he did much better. We will be starting pre-algebra this year. You can go on there web site and do a practice lesson to see if your child likes it. We are very pleased, if you get the automatic grading, your child knows right away if they got the problem correct, if not , they can see how to do it correctly immediately (love that).
