Hi. I have homeschooled my daughter (and sons) since kindergarten. She has always struggled with math but she has managed to progress throughout the years. I don't feel she where she should be. We are using Keys to Algebra, now that she's in 9th grade, and we are in book 4. She says she just doesn't get it. We have tried other curriculums, and either she doesn't like them, or I don't . She cries and gets very depressed, and tells me that she wants to like math but can't. She gives up easily. I don't get upset with her because I struggled a lot with math too, and had to take Algebra 4 times before passing it. I finally really understood it when I took a remedial math class in college. I feel like just not doing ALgebra, etc. If she gets frustrated with Algebra then how in the world will she do ALgebra 2, and Geometry, and whatever else she should do. Somebody help. Thanks. LIZ
