Hi Sandy, I pick my curriculum by subject to enable me to get what I am wanting from a curriculum. I would suggest that you check out homeschoolreviews.com which allows homeschool users to post their reviews on said curriculum. Once you found something of interest, go to their website and research the item further. Some of the sites have sample lessons that you can preview. Cathy Duffy or Old School House Magazine are also great resources for finding curriculum reviews. I would also suggest finding out when and where the nearest Homeschool Book Fair or Homeschool Convention will be. They are usually in the spring and summer. These events allow you to touch, look, and ask questions. There is lots to research and it can be overwhelming. I am on my 7th year of homeschooling and found picking curr. to be daunty until about the 3rd year. Notice what people around you are using and ask questions. Hope this helps. Good Luck
