Depending on the age of the child or what their personality type is I would suggest Read,Write,Type by the Learning Company. It's been around awhile but my two out of my four learned to type with it and even young children can use it. If you are looking for a more straightforward approach then I've heard good things about Mavis Beacon. Amazon has both of these.
