We co-oped the labs last year with a family who had the 2nd edition while we had the first. The meat seemed the same. A few of the experiments were slightly different and a few were only in one or the other. The definitions and questions seemed consistent between the 2. The new book is much slicker and has more pictures as well as the CD.
