For World History you might look at Exploring World History by Notgrass. Literature is included if you wish to use it.

If you want more flexibility, but more work, we enjoyed Diana Waring's History Alive! series. Tons of great ideas and resources and you can easily mix Lit and history with this program.

We also love the Progeny Press study guides - you choose the books and then find the study guide to go with it. Wordly Wise is great for vocabulary and Wordsmith Craftsman is wonderful for composition.

Teaching Textbooks and Apologia were also favorites of ours.
