Boy, it's been a tough year with my 14 year old son. We started using Teaching
Textbooks this year for Algebra I but had to stop in January. This curriculum just
didn't click with him. We then switched to Saxon and got to lesson 50 and began
to struggle. I know Saxon is very challenging. Would it be bad to try Math U
See? I feel so bad because I feel he could have made it through Algebra I this
year if we would have used the right curriculum. Pre-algebra was too easy for
him with the Saxon placement test. Our goal was to be in Geometry by 9th
grade.
