I need some info on end of grade testing before sending my 13 yr old, going into to 8th grade after a year of homeschooling. She HAS to go back to public school, which breaks my heart but there is no way around it at this point. I am familiar with homeschooling b/c I homeschooled my son 15 years ago for 5 years. He was younger and did not have to do all the end of grade testing etc and was very successful. (Forced back to private/public schools and excelled beyond their belief vack then, yipee) Today with my daughter, I am now faced with doing the "correct" end of grade testing to prove to the school system that my child has excedeed also but I am not sure what test to give her.....any suggestions? I want to prove to them that HS is not a waste of time and they do get ahead better and as well educated as at PS, without being defensive, just want to prove my child has learned and excelled. Again, unfortunatley, I am at their mercy and want my daughter in the top classes where she may possibly learn something until we can HS again.
