I don't know about MCP but I would stay as far from Saxon as I could get. I used it through Algebra 1/2 where my daughter was in tears every night before I finally got a clue. Saxon does not teach problem solving skills at all. Problem solving is the whole purpose of learning math. So, my advice is to choose anything except Saxon.
