There are 2 quizzes per chapter and a chapter test. Those are in the masterbook. The quizzes are used as the review. The vocabulary quizzes and workbook assignments are in the teacher's manaul. I found the vocabulary helpful but not the other. The book has the information you're describing but also adds issues of maturity (saying no) etc, dating, death and dying, sprititual maturity. All of these are covered in a very gently and spiritual way. They encourage the child to think about what he's going to do and make the right choices as he continues to mature. I've not seen the Jr High book but I suspect these areas aren't covered in it. I suspect it goes a little more in depth because this course is designed for students who will be having to make hard choices in the near future. It recognizes that high schoolers are more mature and have different issues than a middle schooler and it attempts to address those in a gentle christian way. We found the program very helpful.
