I'm debating on Saxon Math grade 1 or going with MCP... I've used both in the past, although my Saxon experience doesn't start until 7th grade. From what I can see Saxon is very thorough. If I choose Saxon, do I need to purchase the whole homeschool kit? Also, does it have a "workbook" the kids can write in? For my middle ds, I'm currently using MCP grade 4. He needs the workbook style format. MCP seems pretty to the point and I've been happy with it. Geez, I know I'm over thniking this, please help!
