We've used K, 1-2, 3, Alt. 4, 5, and 100. Next year, we are using K, 4, and 200. No matter what I try, we always come back to Sonlight. I've only bought the whole set from SL once. I buy books a little bit at a time, mostly on the used boards here. The catalog lists the 12 wk. period(1, 2, 3) next to the title to show when the books are used and you can look and see what is needed to get you through the first 12 wks and then what you need the 2nd 12 wks and later for the 3rd 12 wks. I have bought TGs used and borrowed them too. They do have a risk-free 18 wks guarantee. You can use it for 18 wks and if you don't like it, return it for a refund. I think this is if you buy a complete set, but don't quote me on that. Sonlight is awesome and my kids are always reading ahead or on the weekend when they don't have to. They love reading and it's because of SL.
