I think that, if you do one of the activities each time, probably the book would be enough for 6th grade (but I'm not real consistent about those, so extra books works better for us); if you are doing the book ONLY, it would probably be enough for up to 4th grade.
The lessons are organized to be 3/week, and that usually works for us unless we go off on a "rabbit trail"--not unusual for us, so, in total, the one-year curric takes us more like 1 1/2 years!
As for the extra books, I have several lists in the "files" section of the yahoo MOHII group--it's a great resource, and there are lots of activity sheets for the first quarter of the book posted there, too.
