Hi Twila!
I've got a son that has done Apologia Physical Science & Biology. He had a difficult time with both, so I didn't even bother with looking at doing their chemistry. I picked up the Power Basics Physics course this year and he is doing fairly well with it.
The Power Basic series is written on a lower level (around 6th grade?) for better comprehension and covers just the basics, as the name implies.
If you choose to do some of the other alternative sciences, ie, earth science, palentology, ecology, etc., check out Master Books Publications, Answers in Genesis, and Institute in Creation Research, for textbooks. Also, I noticed at bookfair this past weekend that Rod & Staff offers a textbook on Automotive. I think they also had one on Architecture?
Sincerely His,
Charylcie W.
