There is little if any parental involvement. This is why it is often used in places where there is no licensed teacher. The kids mostly read and answer questions. They set their own goals and correct their own papers. A book learner would be fine with this but a hands-on learner would do rather poorly. I have never used it with my boys though- just seen it in various Christian schools and facilities.
