yes, we used several AP classes. It's worth the money if the university your child goes to accepts AP credits and you save college tuition. The advantage of online classes is that they are specifically geared more to the AP exams. You can still do well on the exams doing the class on your own; but I think you go in a bit less prepared for the test.
