All of the science questions on ACT tests are not what you actually know about science. They are how well you interpret the information given. From reading many other posts when my sons took the ACT, the best way to study the science portion is to do practice tests. Some have even said the tests they practiced were actually on their real test.
I do not think my sons knew how to do graphing on their calculators when they did the tests. I do not think it hurt them.
When my son understood it was more interpreting the data his score jumped several points to bring his cumulative up to scholarship level.
