Hi, Our son is a freshman and was a student during the first semester at our local high school. He is completing the second semester at home. We found the Algebra 1 Saxon textbook, workbook, solutions manual and CD-Rom(with a teacher) to be quite effective. I follow my local H.S. curriculum using the same books. He continues to do great and loves being homeschooled. Check with your local Superintendent's Office for all regulations to follow. Homeschooling can be flexible and you have a choice of books to use. I'm following this curriculum because he is planning on attending college. Hope this helps you. Good Luck! Deb
