Subject:         Converting Weighted GPA to Unweighted GPA ??
Date: March 3, 2009 at 12:31 pm PST

My daughter will be applying for a scholarship which requires that we convert a weighted GPA to an unweighted GPA. I have no idea how to do that. I used the weighted GPA on her transcript & she had no AP, honors or dual enrollment classes, all her classes were regular classes such as Algebra I & II, Geometry, Biology, Chemistry, etc. So she didn't receive any extra points for any special classes. Would there be a differnce in her GPA in a weighted GPA versus an unweighted?

I included this on her transcript:
Credits and Grading Scale: A 90-100; B 80-89; C 70-79; D 60- 69; F below 60
Weight for one-credit courses (120 hours): A=4; B=3; C=2; D=1; F=0

Would I just remove the "weight for one-credit course scale" from the transcript & instead just put that the GPA is the Unweighted GPA?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
