I'm sorry if this is too late to be useful, but I ran across a great study on "To Kill a Mockingbird" on a new website called Shmoop. I was particularly impressed by the number of themes they covered, as well as the deep character analyses. IMO, this website is much more user-friendly than sparknotes. Check it out: http://www.shmoop.com/intro/literature/harper-lee/to-kill-a-mockingbird.html# They also have one on "Catcher in the Rye" as well: http://www.shmoop.com/intro/literature/j-d-salinger/the-catcher-in-the-rye.html
