We've been homeschooling for almost 10 years. Grade school and middle school were fine, but we've had big issues with lack of discipline since we began high school. My son is 14 and until HS was an ideal student, with high scores and a great attitude. Homeschooling was a joy--hard work, but fun. Now, I can't seem to get him to stay on task or complete assignments. We are more than a half a year behind now, and my husband is telling me he wants to put our son in public high school. I'm heart broken and feel like a failure. I don't know where things went wrong. Is this common at his age? I would welcome any ideas on both how to deal with my son and how to convince my husband to reconsider his plan.
