You must be from my generation when high school math went Algebra, Geometry, Alg II/Trig, then maybe Calculus. I remember Alg II/Trig being spoken as one lump class name covered in a one year course usually during junior or senior year. When my older kids started college this pre-calc showed up and I asked where Trig went. I suggested it might be part of pre-calc and my son argued that with me for some time lol. His pre-calc text had within it what my Trig text had.
