It is hard even when being taught unless you are a natural. I have to confess this is the one course I sent my ds's to public school for. I knew who the teacher was and knew she did a good job at teaching it. It saved us some frustration and kept the boys more accountable. With all of that said, I am trying Teaching Writing Structure and Style with my 9th grade son. I hope this gives him a better grounding than the other two sons had. Your daughter may be able to do this on her own. She could even watch the teaching CD's and do the Student Writing Intensive C. It is not a cheap course, but she could use it both years. She would just improve on what she did her senior year. Hopefully others may have some ideas for you also. Patti
