I started off with Daily Grams, but that's when I realized he needed more than practice. Once I got the Easy Grammar Plus, I stopped doing the Daily Grams... I plan to have him do that this year. I purchased the student workbook; it was worth the extra expense to me to not have to go to Office Depot or Kinkos and make copies---it's hard to copy all at once because the teacher's answer key is on one side of the page, and the student blank on the other so you can't just feed it through the copier in a big stack without cutting off the binding on the side (which I did for my daughter with Easy Grammar 5/6). I bought the Plus edition used online, and it was an older edition that was really hard to find the student workbooks for, so I recommend getting the latest edition if you want to be able to buy the workbook.
This program makes so much sense. Even if you do a completely different program after this, it translates over--it helps so much in identifying the different parts of the sentence and being able to tell whether something is a verb, noun or part of the prepositional phrase. They should pay me to promote it, 'cause I'm totally convinced it's the best! I would offer you my copy, but I've convinced my sister in law to use it with her high-school son who has done Abeka all his life and still struggles.
