If your son is doing the class and you plan on the public school paying for it, they will not cover the calculus course. He will need to take what is offered at the high school first and then go to the cc. That does not mean he has to take it at the school, but he does have to have taken the calculus at home as a high school course first.
If you are paying for the class your son may be able to go into calculus. My ds had to get a certain score on the trig. portion of his ACT or the Compass test (this test is given at the college) before the cc would allow him to take calculus there. There was not a requirement like that for the statistics course.
