Thanks to all replies. He was not asked what he wanted to take in college. He actually has not decided. But, recently has mentioned engineering as a possibility. That is why I guess I am getting a little concerned.

So if he is interested in Engineering, then Statistics would not be a good choice, correct?

I just wonder if he could take Calculus next year.

I should talk to the advisor again and ask questions. I really appreciate all the advice!
