Subject:	Dual Enrollment

My ds just started Dual Enrollment at a local community college. (11th grade.) He is taking Math (statistics) and English (expository writing.)

His math class is "Elementary Statistics" which the advisor of the community college chose. My question is, does this sound right? My ds has taken Algebra 1, 2 and Geometry. My understanding is that High School teaches Pre-Calculus and Calculus.

Looking at High School Curricula, I don't see Statistics. If anyone understands Dual Enrollment, I would appreciate insight. I realize that these are classes that go toward college credits. I should have asked more questions early on with the community college.
